Core service

Monthly bookkeeping

Books closed every month, taxes without surprises. It is the service that holds all the others up: when the accounting is current, the year-end return is a consequence, not a scramble.

  • Bank and card transactions recorded and reconciled every month
  • Monthly profit and loss and balance sheet, in language you understand
  • Payables and receivables organized
  • Sales tax and payroll tracked in the same workflow
  • Continuous tax preparation, with no last-minute closing
  • An accountant who knows your business and answers in your language

To get started

Company formation in the US

LLC, Corp or S-Corp, with the right registration for your case, whether you live in Florida or abroad. CKO forms the company and delivers what comes next: EIN, licenses, documents and the compliance calendar.

  • Choice of structure and state, with the tax burden of each option explained
  • Sunbiz registration, EIN from the IRS and corporate documents
  • State and municipal licenses for your activity
  • Registered agent and business address when needed
  • Remote formation for owners living outside the US
  • The New Company Guide, with initial, one-time and annual obligations

Every year

Business income tax

Forms 1120-S, 1065 and 1120, filed on time and planned before year-end, while the result can still be changed.

  • Annual business return: 1120-S, 1065 or 1120, depending on the structure
  • Schedule K-1 for each owner and its effect on the personal return
  • Form 5472 for LLCs owned by nonresidents
  • Quarterly estimated tax calculated and reminded
  • Extensions when they make sense, never by neglect
  • Prior-year review when a client arrives from another firm

Individual income tax

Residents and nonresidents, Forms 1040 and 1040-NR, including income in Brazil and in the United States. For those who arrived this year, the first year of tax residency gets special attention.

  • Form 1040 for residents and 1040-NR for nonresidents
  • Rental, investment and business income abroad reported correctly
  • FBAR and Form 8938 for accounts and assets outside the US
  • First year in the United States and dual-status residency
  • Dependents and spouse with ITIN
  • Income in more than one state, common for athletes and professionals

Tax identification

ITIN and EIN

Tax identification numbers for people and companies. CKO is an IRS Acceptance Agent: your documents are checked at the office, Form W-7 is prepared here and the application is followed until the number is issued.

  • ITIN for those without a Social Security number: spouses, dependents and nonresidents with US income
  • Renewal of expired ITINs before filing
  • EIN for new companies, including foreign owners without an SSN
  • Document review as an IRS Acceptance Agent
  • Application follow-up and replies to IRS letters

Payroll and sales tax

Payroll and Florida sales tax, paid and filed on time. Each has its own calendar and its own penalties, and both run inside the same workflow as your bookkeeping.

  • Payroll with federal withholding, quarterly 941 and annual 940
  • W-2 for employees and 1099 for contractors, in January
  • RT-6, Florida reemployment tax, every quarter
  • Florida DOR registration and monthly or quarterly DR-15
  • Resale certificate and the right rate for each county
  • Workers' compensation guidance for your activity

State deadlines

Annual Report and licenses

State renewal, municipal licenses and corporate changes, with the deadlines monitored by us. A late Florida Annual Report costs a 400 dollar penalty, and a missing one dissolves the company.

  • Annual Report on Sunbiz by May 1, every year
  • Tangible Personal Property return (DR-405) by April 1, when applicable
  • State and municipal licenses: issuance and renewal
  • Changes of address, owners, managers and name
  • Proper dissolution when a company closes

Before deciding

Advisory and tax planning

Structuring, holdings and tax planning to reduce taxes safely. Advice happens before the decision, not after the penalty.

  • Choosing and reviewing the structure: LLC, S-Corp or Corp
  • Year-end planning with the company's real results
  • Buying, selling and reorganizing companies
  • Holdings and operations in more than one country, with CKO Core
  • Financial diagnosis and action plan

When the letter arrives

IRS resolution

Letters, notices and open issues resolved by people who speak the IRS's language and yours. Most letters have a response deadline, and answering correctly the first time avoids months of back and forth.

  • Reading and answering IRS and Florida DOR notices
  • Late returns from prior years
  • Installment agreements and penalty abatement requests
  • Representation and communication with the IRS on your behalf
  • Getting compliant for those who never filed in the US

How it works

It starts with a conversation. It continues as routine.

1

Conversation

On WhatsApp or at the office. We learn the company, its stage and what is pending.

2

Clear proposal

What is included, what is not and what it costs, in writing, before we start.

3

Onboarding

Access to accounts, documents and systems. We clean up whatever was left behind.

4

Monthly routine

Books closed, deadlines monitored and an accountant who answers. You keep serving clients, CKO keeps closing the books.

Frequently asked questions

Before you hire us.

Does CKO serve companies outside Orlando?

Yes. Clients across Florida and in other states, plus owners living abroad with a company or income in the United States. Everything works online, in English, Portuguese, Spanish or Italian.

I already have an accountant. Can I switch mid-year?

Yes. We receive the files from the previous firm, review what was done and take over from the following month. Anything pending goes into the plan first.

How much does it cost?

It depends on transaction volume, whether you have employees and what is pending. The proposal is in writing, with everything included, after a first conversation on WhatsApp.

Is CKO a Brazilian firm?

CKO is an American accounting firm, registered and operating in the United States since 2019, serving clients in English, Portuguese, Spanish and Italian. The founder is Brazilian and knows both systems.
